The digital media for UATV helped audiences know and understand news at the University of Arkansas in a fast, convenient, and engaging way. When I became the digital media coordinator I saw the opportunity to reach larger audiences through an online platform. I pioneered a new way of communicating through social media by creating a brand for the station, a unique way to tell stories, and the ability to showcase the work of our journalists. Our social media presence doubled during my time as coordinator and students often told our staff that UATV was their primary resource to stay updated on campus life. This role taught me to successfully innovate new ways to communicate a product or idea.
